Shaquille O'Neal OUT for Playoffs

On a day in which LeBron and the Cavaliers took a hard fought win against the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland got a bit of bad news regarding injured center Shaquille O’Neal.  Per ESPN report, O’Neal, who has been out nursing a strained thumb for several weeks and has missed 22 games this season, suffered major setbacks in physical therapy and will likely be out for the entire playoffs.

Shaq’s mother, Lucille, was a guest at the Q on Wednesday night promoting her book Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go: From Mental Welfare to Mental Wealth and had this to say about her son’s injury: “Obviously [Shaquille] is very disappointed that he cannot be out there with his team but his health is a main concern. He will not be 100% for at least another month and will unfortunately be unavailable for the playoffs.”  Shaq was not present for the matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks but Tweeted this: “im sorry to the city of Cleveland and to my teammates i will be there to support the guys and hopefully bring u the championship u deserve.”

The good news is Cleveland has done very well without the Big Fella in the lineup this season.  They matchup very well against every other team besides the Lakers and Magic and are still the front runners to winning a Championship this season.
