On a day in which LeBron and the Cavaliers took a hard fought win against the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland got a bit of bad news regarding injured center Shaquille O’Neal. Per ESPN report, O’Neal, who has been out nursing a strained thumb for several weeks and has missed 22 games this season, suffered major setbacks in physical therapy and will likely be out for the entire playoffs.
Shaq’s mother, Lucille, was a guest at the Q on Wednesday night promoting her book Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go: From Mental Welfare to Mental Wealth and had this to say about [...]

Cavs Sneak By Bucks
After a rather weak schedule over the last month or so of the season, the Cavs matched up with an impressive Milwaukee Bucks team on Wednesday night.
They were a little rusty and, quite frankly, looked like they hadn’t played against much competition for a while. They contributed another poor effort at the line and coughed up the ball on twelve separate occasions. But they were solid defensively, hit free throws when they counted and knocked down some tough shots in the fourth quarter to sneak by with a 101-98 victory.
Yes, LeBron James was incredible again as the young King torched [...]
Andy To Sit Vs. Bucks
Looks like Andy’s hamstring needs a little more rest and I am glad the Cavs are giving it to him. Varejao is much to valuable to Cleveland’s post season success to be injuring himself playing in was it probably a meaningless game. The Cavs need to keep pressing to ensure home court advantage through the finals but they should be able to get the job done tonight without Varejao.
From ESPN.com:
Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao will miss his second straight game with a sore left hamstring.
Varejao, Cleveland’s super sub and a leading candidate for the NBA’s sixth man award, [...]
With just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter, Zydrunas Ilgausas checked into the game to the tune of a sold-out crowd cheering his name and holding up “Z” posters. It had to be one of the most emotional moments in Big Z’s long history with the Cavaliers organization. And he finished with four points and six rebounds in more than 22 minutes of work as the Cavaliers took a 97-90 victory over the Sacramento Queens.
I have nothing against the Queens because, quite frankly, they’re not good enough for me to bare any hatred towards them. I just say [...]
Streak Snapped at Eight
Remember when I said the other day was a great day to be an Ohio sports fan? Yeah, well today was the complete opposite.
Ohio State took a heartbreaking defeat to the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday night to eliminate themselves from the NCAA tournament (and completely bust my bracket). And just a short time later, the Cavaliers took an ugly 102-97 loss at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.
Typically I wouldn’t describe a five point loss as ugly but the Cavs just looked lost in the last twelve minutes of play and let Manu Ginobli have his way on the [...]
I’m starting to believe that the Baby Bull really does tune in to the Gospel every once in a while. It seems like every single time I disrespect JJ Hickson, he responds with a monstrous performance and he did it again on Wednesday night. JJ was the recipient of a flurry of sick passes from the King and posted 20 points and nine boards in win number 57 against the New Orleans Hornets.
TheBron continued his spree of ridiculous performances and notched 38 points on 15-of-22 from the field while handing out nine assists and snagging six rebounds. He came down [...]
The Cavaliers will be taking the court against the New Orleans Hornets as a friendly face returns to the Wine & Gold tonight.
While D-Day stands for the biggest amphibious attack in military history and took place during World War II on the beaches of Normandy, today marks the first day in the celebration of Z-Day: a seven foot-three inch attack that will bring Cleveland it’s first team Championship in 50 years. So Cheers, Cleveland!
And here’s how the two teams match-up:
Mo Williams vs. Chris Paul
Both Chris Paul and Mo Williams are working their way back from nagging injuries and both guys [...]
The Cavs are rolling. They have only lost 3 games since the All Star break and one of those games saw LBJ sitting out to rest an injured ankle. To top it all off, they have done it without a true center, with Shaq out until the playoffs and Big Z taking a 1 month “vacation” courtesy of Antawn Jameson.
This year’s Cavs look much stronger than last year’s squad. The bench is much deeper and Cleveland sports winning records against the Celtics, Lakers and Magic this season. They seem to have a match up answer for every team that might [...]
Z is Back!
From ESPN.com:
Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas has agreed to play the rest of the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Agent Herb Rudoy said Tuesday that Ilgauskas decided to re-sign with the Cavaliers but still plans to pursue free agency in the offseason.
The team had no immediate comment. Ilgauskas was at the Cavs’ practice facility Tuesday but had yet to sign the contract. He hoped to leave with his teammates later in the day for a two-game road trip.
It sure will be nice to see Z back on the floor in the Wine and Gold!
Since I don’t live in Ohio and, therefore, do not get Fox Sports Ohio in my dorm room, I was beyond disappointed when I found out the Cavs-Pistons game wasn’t going to be on ESPN this evening. However, I did find a place to watch the game and caught a glimpse of why ESPN didn’t want to put that on national television.
LeBron watched from the bench as his NBA-best twenty game streak of scoring 20+ points ended with a 104-79 stoot-slappin’ of the Detroit Pistons. The King was a spectator in the fourth quarter after putting up solid (yet, not [...]
