And the Beat Goes On…

Hot-Wad Williams came up with an outstanding game for the Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

Cleveland improved their winning streak to three times as many games as New Jersey has won all season.  Twelve.

Number twelve didn’t come easy for the Cavaliers as they trailed early on.  The New Jersey Nets battled as hard as they could battle but they just don’t have the type of firepower needed to hold off the Cavaliers.

LeBron James rattled off 32 points to go along with 11 assists on the night but, surprisingly enough, posted a -2 efficiency rating for the game.  He played for 42 minutes.  So Cleveland’s bench outscored the Nets by nine points in the six minutes that LeBron James was not on the floor.  That’s very unusual considering that the King played another royal game. Hmmm….

Shaquille O’Neal didn’t look quite as dominate as he has over the past month or so but he did lead a fast break.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, I said lead.  The Big Fella took a few dribbles up the floor and handed off to LeBron on an odd looking no look pass.  James lobbed ahead to Anderson Varejao who flushed the easy alley-oop.

Jawad Williams got hot and followed up TheBron with 17 points of his own and Andy canned six of his seven attempts in a 15 point effort.  Daniel Gibson rounded out the Cavaliers in double figures with his 11 points but he too finished with an efficiency rating in the negatives.  Odd.

Cleveland will take their winning streak back into the Q to take on the Master Choke Artist (Stan Van Gundy) and his boys from his boys from the south. I’m feelin’ number thirteen.  And I don’t just want to beat the Magic.  I want to pound them into the ground—I’m still not over last season.

Anyways, let’s do it on Thursday boys. Take a thirteen streaker into the All-Star Break!
