Cavs Head Into Milwaukee to Take On Bucks

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Okay so I was a little off last time.  Joakim Noah and his fellow Bulls were too busy jabbin’ their jaws in jealousy over the King’s mean dance moves that they couldn’t muster up 5 more points for me.  But that’s okay because this Sunday marks another day of football and another day of Cavaliers basketball as our beloved ballers travel to Milwaukee to take on Brandon Jennings and the Bucks. Here’s how it breaks down: Jennings leads the Bucks, who have lost six of their last seven, with 21.2 points and 5.9 assists per game while canning 45% of his [...]

Cavs Dance Their Way Past Chicago

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Both on and off the floor, the Cavs bench shined again tonight. From dance moves to spin moves the Wine and Gold reserves played stylish basketball and contributed 40 points of offense to the 101-87 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Earlier in the day, King James was crowned the Eastern Conference Player of the Month.  Through the month of November, TheBron averaged 29.2 points on 52.3% shooting, 6.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists in almost 40 minutes per game leading his team to a 13-5 start to the season. On Friday night, LeBron and Company showed flashes of last year’s fun-spirited [...]

Take Two: Cavs, Bulls Face Off On ESPN

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Gospel stopped off at StepienRules.com for the preview of tonight’s action with the Chicago Bulls. Here’s how it breaks down: With just seconds left on the clock, King James took the ball to the hoop and seemed to have gotten mauled by Joakim Noah (among others) but no foul was called and the Cavs dropped to an even 3-3 on the young 2009-10 season. As winners in five of their last six contest, the Wine and Gold will seek revenge on Friday night against Noah and the Chicago Bulls. Cleveland comes off an impressive 107-90 victory on Wednesday night over [...]

From Big Kid to Big Z

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the 20th overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers gambled by taking a 7-foot-3 center out of Lithuania. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had all the talent in the world when it came to the game of basketball. He was tall and athletic; he could shoot and he could jump. However, Ilgauskas was only 20 years old and already had the feet of an elderly man. In his first season with the Cavaliers, Z didn’t play in a single game. He was busy recovering from his initial foot operation and learning to speak English. Between 1996 and 2001, the young center [...]

Z, Cavs Torch Suns

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Big Z posted a team-high 14 points in his record breaking night. Zydrunas Ilgauskas walked out onto the floor of the Q with 3:50 left in the first quarter to a standing ovation in the Cavaliers match-up with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.  Big Z surpassed Cavs GM Danny Ferry for the franchise leader in games played with 724 over his 14 year career. Big Z and the rest of the Cavaliers came out fired up and torched the Suns for 57 points and led by 28 points after the first half of play.  The Wine and Gold continued their dominate play throughout the second half and [...]

Big Z Goes for Gold

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Zydrunas Ilgauskas has spent his entire 14-year career playing in Cleveland for the Wine and Gold. He battled through foot problems that forced him to miss nearly three full seasons.  He is the only player on the Cavaliers’ roster that has been with LeBron James since the very beginning.  And tomorrow night against the Phoenix Suns, Big Z will break the franchise record for most games played in a Cavalier uniform. Ilgauskas currently shares the record of 723 games with Cleveland GM Danny Ferry but was expected to surpass that mark on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks. In that contest, [...]

Mo Gotti: The Silent Assassin

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: None Yet

Mo Williams was selected to his first career All-Star Game last season and became the King’s trusty sidekick in the Cavs’ two-headed attack.  His newly obtained superstardom landed him several endorsement deals including his own brand of “Mo Gotti” basketball shoes.  But with the addition of legendary big man Shaquille O’Neal, Williams has shed some of the spotlight and has quietly flown under the radar throughout the beginning of the Cavs’ 2009-10 quest for an NBA Championship. Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks may have been his best performance of this young season; Mo scored 25 on a perfect 7-of-7 [...]
