The Cavaliers improved their record to 7-2 over the West this season. Over the last two years, the Cavs are 33-6 against Western Conference opponents.

In their 2008-09 run to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers two-headed offensive attack consisting of LeBron James and Mo Williams recorded a league best 46.2 points per game combined.  This year, the duo rank third in the NBA at 44.9 points per night.

The dynamic duo was at their best on Sunday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder and torched the home team for a combined 66 points.  King James poured in a game-high 44 points on 16 of 29 from the field and 5 of 8 from deep; he added 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals to his impressive stat sheet to help lead the Cavaliers to their seventeenth victory.  The Silent Assassin, Mo Williams, canned a season best 22 points on 8 of 18 from the field and 4 of 9 from long range.

Cleveland trailed 75 – 68 with less than two minutes remaining in the third quarter when the King took the rock and single-handedly put his team up by two heading into the final period.  James certainly delivered the first blow to end the third quarter but the Thunder stuck around.  After knocking down back-to-back threes in the fourth quarter, each after OKC had cut Cleveland’s lead to one, Mo Williams broke the game wide open when he chased down a loose ball and buried a three-pointer from halfcourt as the shot clock expired to put the Cavs up by seven with 4:06 left in the contest.

Anderson Varejao snagged a game-high 10 boards and, yet again, produced an unworldly +19 efficiency rating.  Jamario Moon got in on the action and netted 9 points on 4 of 6 from the field, including a bomb of his own in the fourth.

After winning two straight, Cleveland will return home to The Q on Tuesday night to take on the New Jersey Nets.
