Cavs Head Into Milwaukee to Take On Bucks

AUTHOR: | IN: LeBron James | COMMENTS: No Comments |

Okay so I was a little off last time.  Joakim Noah and his fellow Bulls were too busy jabbin’ their jaws in jealousy over the King’s mean dance moves that they couldn’t muster up 5 more points for me.  But that’s okay because this Sunday marks another day of football and another day of Cavaliers basketball as our beloved ballers travel to Milwaukee to take on Brandon Jennings and the Bucks.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Jennings leads the Bucks, who have lost six of their last seven, with 21.2 points and 5.9 assists per game while canning 45% of his long distance attempts.  In their six losses, Milwaukee has given up an average of 105 points and have been outscored by more than 8 points in each contest.  Andrew Bogut averages 15 points and 9 rebounds per contest but the Bucks are an impressive 5-1 in games where the big man posts a double-double.

What to look for:

The Cavaliers have won eleven of their last thirteen games behind strong, unselfish play from King James.  Cleveland danced their way to victory on Wednesday night and tallied 100+ points for the twelfth time this season; the Wine and Gold are 12-0 in those games.  Combine Cleveland’s rolling offense with Milwaukee’s struggling defense and this game has the potential to be another lopsided contest.

November’s Rookie of the Month, Brandon Jennings, has lost his touch as of late.  The young point guard is shooting a mere 32% on 18 of 56 from the field in the last three games.

Prediction:

Wisconsin is known for its prevalence of cheese and (perhaps more importantly) its high rate of binge drinkin’ and partyin’.  Our Wine and Gold, however, know a thing or two about partying too.  And they bring the party on Sunday afternoon.

LeBron and Co. dominate from the opening tip, going to Shaq early and pulling away to a 33 – 16 lead after just one quarter of play.  They withstand a minor Milwaukee run and lead 61 - 49 at the half.  Mo Williams and Anthony Parker connect on back-to-back tre’s to open the second half and give Cleveland an 18 point advantage.  LeBron misses a triple-double but goes off for 32 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds before taking a seat for the entire fourth quarter.  Williams puts together a solid 14 point performance and adds a game-high 13 assists to the stat sheet.  Anthony Parker picks up four dimes from Mo and nails 6 of 7 from downtown for a season-high 22 points. With the benches cleared midway through the final period, Danny Green doubles his career point total with 8 points in only six minutes of play.

When it’s all said and done, the Cavs put together another impressive performance and win 111 – 89.

CAVS WIN +22
