The Big Diesel vs. Big Ben?
Shaq has tried his hand at being a rapper, an actor, and a police officer. So, what’s next for the BIG man? Football, Baseball, Swimming and Beach Volleyball are just to name a few. In a new ABC reality television series, “Shaq Vs.”, O’Neal will be taking on star athletes of almost every major sport. His first competitor will be Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger in a game of football. The Cavaliers have already cleared O’Neal to participate in his new reality TV show in which he plans to challenge competitive swimming juggernaut, Michael Phelps, boxing legend Oscar De La [...]
Cavs Sign Moon to Offer Sheet
The Cavaliers continue to be active in this years free agency, this time by signing restricted free agent forward, Jamario Moon, to an offer sheet. Little is known about the proposed contract but sources say it will have Moon in Cleveland for at least 2 years. Miami, the city where Moon called home for 2009, will have 7 days to match Cleveland’s offer in order to retain Moon. However, Cleveland seems to be the front runner for Moon, Miami is looking ahead to 2010 and will want to free up some cap space. At the current moment, the Miami Heat [...]
Cavs to Offer James Extension
At midnight, NBA teams will be able to offer contract extensions to NBA players. This could potentially be the most important part of the offseason for many NBA teams. Even though this will have little to no effect on the 2009-2010 season, it could however impact the 2010 offseason. The 2010 offseason has been referred to by many as “The Summer of Lebron”, simply because the contract of Lebron James is set to expire July 1st, 2010. But King James is not the only star player who’s contract will be set to expire in 2010. Next years group of free [...]
HIGHLIGHTS: Cavs Get 1st Summer League Win
The Cavs finally got their first summer league win over the winless Mavs, like a win matters in summer league ball. Tarence “DUI” Kinsey went to the foul line 18 times and made 16 of them, David Harrison provided a double-double, and Jawad Williams scored 18 points and grabbing nine boards. Here are the highlights:
Szczerbiak Turns Down Spain…For Now
Plain Dealer: A Spanish Web site reported that Cavs free-agent wing Wally Szczerbiak has turned down a contract offer from Real Madrid of the Euroleague. His father played professionally in Spain and currently works as a scout for Spanish teams in the U.S. Wally Szczerbiak has, for now, decided not to go play in Europe and wait to see if an NBA team has anything to offer him. Wally still believes he can compete in the NBA and he should be able to find a team that believes in him. Especially if he is looking to take a significant pay [...]

Shaq just keeps showing us why he might be the most popular athlete in the world. After dominating Twitter by having more followers than the New York Times, he’s now taking over YouTube with his newest music video — a tribute to the late, great Michael Jackson. I think it’s refreshing to see a professional athlete have some fun and entertain fans at appropriate times (sorry, T.O. and Ocho). NESWsports.com BTW, where did all the Shaq groupies come from? Must be the neighborhood kids. Wish I could’ve grown up next to the big man.

Is Mo Pulling for Lamar?
Earlier today Mo Williams expressed his interest in Lakers forward, Lamar Odom, via Twitter. The Lakers recently pulled their $27 Million dollar offer from Odom, and it’s no secret that the Cavaliers are shopping around for a forward that can shoot the ball. The latest news from Cleveland is that the Cavs are currently looking into signing Rob Kurz, a free agent forward who spent last season with the Golden State Warriors. It’s clear that Odom would be a great fit in Cleveland and could potentially be the new starter at PF. However, there is only one problem. Lamar Odom [...]
Pros and Cons: Z
Over the course of the offseason I’ve heard plenty of Cavs fan’s liking the idea of trading Zydrunas Ilgauskas during the 2009 season. I can understand why someone would be in favor of moving Z. I’m here to size up the pros and cons of this potential move, and might even through in my own two cents. Pros It’s no secret that NBA teams are hurting for money, especially with the potential decrease of the Cap limit. At age 34, Zydruas Ilgauskas is scheduled to make over $10 Million this upcoming season, easily making Z the highest paid backup center [...]
