Former Kansas Jayhawks guard Russel Robinson has accepted the Cavs invitation to Preseason Camp. He had an impressive summer but still as a long way to go to make the Cavs roster. He choose the Cavs over the Magic (hey, at least someone did).
“The situations are very similar,” Robinson said of Cleveland and Orlando. “Both teams need a third point guard. Being able to be able to play with Shaq (O’Neal), LeBron (James) and Darnell (Jackson), of course, you can’t go wrong with that.”
I hated Robinson in college (because I’m a K-State alum) but the kid plays tough defense and [...]

Cavs Make Offer to Powe
It appears that the Cavaliers aren’t done shopping yet. For the past month the Cavaliers have been browsing every aisle of the Free Agent Market. This time it seems that Forward, Leon Powe, has caught their eye. Powe will come at a good price ($2 Million biannual exception) but Powe is damaged goods as he is coming off his 4th surgery on his left knee and his third ACL tear in that knee.
Powe would be a great steal, if he were healty. He’s a good defender and loves to play in the paint. Something that the Cavs are still lacking [...]
The All Ex-Cavs Team
With all the talk of free agency in the last month I started to remember some of my favorite former Cavs. Awhile back our friend Zoner over at Pippen Ain’t Easy decided to do an All Ex-Bulls Team post that I really enjoyed. So now I’m taking a crack at it for our (formerly) beloved Cavaliers.
DeSagana Diop-C
DeSagana was one of four High School players that declared for the NBA draft in 2001 and was selected 8th overall by the Cavs. Sadly, like most of Clevelands draft picks, Diop never lived up to the hype. In four seasons averaged 1.6 ppg, [...]
Cavs Waive Kinsey
The Cleveland Cavaliers announced earlier today that the team has waived guard, Tarence Kinsey.
Kinsey originally signed with the team as a free agent on August 1st, 2008. He played in 50 games (three starts) during the 2008-09 season with averages of 2.0 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game. In his three starts, Kinsey averaged 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 1.0 steal in 25.6 minutes per game. During the 2009 NBA Playoffs, he saw action in nine games and averaged 0.4 points in 1.2 minutes per game.
Kinsey had a decent showing during this years NBA Summer [...]
The only thing I can think about while watching Shaq on WWE is him getting hurt. I can just imagine the Cavs championship hopes getting flushed down the toilet because the big fella gets hurt wrestling. I also realized that Shaq could have been a wrestling phenom. He has great charisma and his acting skills are suited for wrestling, not movies. Also he almost made the Big Show look well not that big. I guess when Shaq hangs up the basketball shoes he can go start a new career wrestling. I mean don’t they still have some 60-year-old men running [...]

Eyenga Resigns with Spain
Almost a week after the NBA Summer League wrapped up in Vegas, Cavs first round pick Christian Eyenga has reportedly decided to resign with DKV Joventut out of Spain. Eyenga has said to have signed a 3 year contract with the Spanish Club.
Really this comes to no surprise to me. The Cavaliers drafted Eyenga with the 30th overall pick in the 2009 draft. It is clear that when GM Danny Ferry took a chance on Eyenga he was looking for Eyenga to be more of an impact in the future. Eyenga had a decent showing in Las Vegas during the [...]
We’ve all heard the stories of how Xavier basketball player, Jordan Crawford, had dunked on LeBron at his Skill Academy a couple weeks back. Nike did their best to confiscate the evidence of the event, but apparently someone captured the dunk on mobile phone camcorder, and thanks to TMZ the world now has proof that LeBron James is human.
Shaq to host WWE Raw
Over the years, Shaquille O’Neal has been quite the wrestling fan. This upcoming Monday O’Neal will have the ultimate fan experience when he will host WWE’s Monday Night Raw in Washington D.C.
As host of Monday Night Raw, O’Neal will play the part of puppet master where he will arrange the nights matches to his liking. Known for his humor, it wouldn’t be surprising if Shaq were to mix it up a little bit. With Shaq’s unpredictable personality it wouldn’t come as a shock if The Big Diesel stepped in the ring.
Shaq is becoming quite the TV personality, first his own [...]
