We might still be waiting on Shaq’s new nickname, but he has picked his jersey number:

The Cavs reached and to be honest drafted someone I know very little about. Christian Eyenga from the Congo is still very underdeveloped and will likely stay oversees. This could be a possible trading piece for the Cavs if they desire to move him. I still think this is a reach for a team that needs shooting now not later. He could be a great project, but this team doesn’t need projects right now. Listening to this interview really excites me as a Cavs fan. If Shaq means everything he says and can commit to it this season then there is no reason the city of Cleveland will finally be blessed with a championship. I loved hearing Shaq saying they have to win, he would come off the bench, and he has been talking “mentally” with LeBron.

This is the new Cavs intro to their website and it is also already on Shaq’s twitter. I have to say he looks pretty good in that Cavs jersey.

Danny looked rather happy and was awfully sweet to reporters during his press conference today. How could he not be? He just got rid of his garbage for the most dominating center ever that could have a few years left in him (ok maybe just one). The points that I liked hearing: They had three options they were looking at in the last three days. So it means they took what they felt was the best of the three. Ferry said that he doesn’t want to be patient and he wants to win now. Love hearing that, but who doesn’t? [...]

That’s why we wanted to welcome the Big Fella with open arms and 20 Cleveland-inspired nickname suggestions. Anything to make Cleveland feel like home for the three-time NBA Finals MVP. The Remake on the Lake – There’s little doubt that Shaq will pledge to bring a championship back to the Mistake on the Lake, just like he pledged to when he arrived in Miami.
