Cleveland traveled to Philadelphia tonight to play the 76ers with the Eastern Conference on the line. The Cavs came away winning a tough battle, 102-92. The Cavs backcourt that led the way again tonight. Mo Williams scored 18, West 11, and Lebron finsihed with 27. Varejao looks to be the starting power forward, while Ben Wallace gave us the physical presence we will need off the bench come playoff time. The biggest story of the night might have been Wally Szczerbiak.
The Cavs got unexpected help from Wally Szczerbiak tonight in their win over the Sixers tonight. Wally went 6 for 7 shooting (4-4 3PT) and ended up with a season high, 18 points. Wally hadn’t scored in double-digits since March 13th. I was almost thinking he was headed to less minutes that he was already receiving. This was a nice surprise tongiht, which helped the Cavs clinch the Eastern Conference for the second time in three years. Bring on the Pistons!
