Not only is Lebron James the greatest player in the game right now (sorry Kobe fans), but he is mentoring some younger players in the game. Davidson’s Stephen Curry has been receiving some advice from his friend and mentor about declaring for the NBA Draft.
Davidson College star Stephen Curry is expected to decide this weekend whether or not to declare for the NBA draft. James, who is close with Curry and attended a Davidson game earlier this season in Charlotte, N.C., said he’d be glad to offer advice if Curry asks. James stopped short of making a public recommendation, but he wasn’t exactly vague on what he thinks Curry should do.
“Just looking at his family, I don’t think financially he’s hurting so that’s not the reason he’d come out,” James said. “If he believes he’s ready for the NBA; you have to look at your draft status and do well in the pre-draft camps and stuff like that, he’s got the talent. We’ll see what happens.”
